Alma Dreković is a linguist and educational scientist (M.A., FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, 2003). She worked in international corporations (Siemens and Toshiba) until 2014. Since then, she has professionalized her personal interests and now works in her dream profession: as a certified business and career coach for academics, executives, and artists. She is the author of Weiblich, hochbegabt, unterschätzt (Klett-Cotta, 2023) and co-developed the coaching card set Hochbegabung – Das Kartenset für Coaching, Therapie und Selbstcoaching (Klett-Cotta, 2023) together with Noks Nauta. The Dutch version of the set was published as Hoogbegaafd: De kaartenset voor coaching, therapie en zelfcoaching (2025).Her research focuses on the life course of highly gifted adults, with particular attention to gender-specific experiences and the societal perception of intelligence. She also explores the concept of giftedness itself, examining its cultural and philosophical dimensions. Her current research centers on highly gifted women. She regularly lectures and writes for both academic and professional audiences.
