As my youngest son was having difficulties in the Dutch school system, I started learning about giftedness in 2020. (Both my children are highly gifted.) I joined the Gifted Adults Foundation (www.IHBV.nl) as a volunteer, and started organising the HB-Café meetings in Zwolle in 2023. I have been spending a lot of time organising events for the (highly) gifted community. I learned more about being highly gifted from Noks Nauta and Sanne Wouts, at the highly gifted meeting in Breda (March 2024). Consequently, Noks, Sanne and I talked about starting a wiki with resources that would help other parents of highly gifted children find their way in the world of parenting and education. So we did. And now we have evolved into a bigger international research group.

I graduated with a Master’s degree in English language and culture at The University of Groningen. I am a certified yoga teacher and professional organizer/event planner.
